How it works

Text Someone works by the provision of a mobile telephone number, local rate phone number and website to a school. These numbers can then be promoted by the school using a range of posters, press releases to the local press and, most importantly, a card that the school provides for each pupil. This card contains details of the Text Someone numbers for pupils to carry with them at all times.

No additional hardware

Whenever a message is sent by a school pupil, it will appear automatically on the Text Someone secure system in school. The school will then log in using an ID and password specific only to them, the system displays all the text messages, voice messages and emails that pupils have sent in.

The system can even send school staff a text message or email alerting them to a new message from a pupil, thus saving time in not having to check for new messages. Any messages received can be followed up using the same method, so for

Simple to use

example, a text message in can be responded to by a text message back. This provides a timed and dated record of the message in and the follow up taken. Should more urgent and personal follow up be required pupil contact details are displayed next to the message that has been sent in.

Messages in and out, plus any notes added are all stored on the secure website allowing an at a glance view as to the status of what the student had reported. This can be done by any authorized member of staff in and out of the school as the system is web based.
